Annual Wheelchair Grand Prix
October 7, 8 & 9, 2005
Imagine you're racing in the Tour de France or Indy 500.
The wind is rushing past as you gain speed and move toward
the finish line...you bask in the glory as your fans cheer
you on. Wait...even better...imagine you're racing in rustic
Pennsylvania and pushing a wheelchair up hills and down
scenic valleys. This time you're part of the Variety Young
Professionals special team and your fans are the children
and families who will greatly benefit from your accomplishments.
Now stop imagining!
Be
a part of the Wheelchair Grand Prix and GO
THE DISTANCE FOR KIDS!
On October 7, 8, and 9, 2005,
team members will make history by taking turns pushing wheelchairs
from Moraine State Park to Presque Isle…approximately
100 miles! This unique, first-ever event will raise money
for Variety the Children's Charity and increase awareness
for Variety's special programs for very special children.
We're looking for teams of approximately 10 members. Groups
with less than 10 members and individuals are also welcome
to participate. If you would like, we will help you find
a team. If you can't be a part of a team, join us as a volunteer
and/or sponsor. |
