Who is Sheerhabitat?
Sheerhabitat is owned and operated by photographer and textile artist Andriana Cassimatis from her home studio in Los Angeles, California. A recent transplant from New York City, Andriana started her textile career in the fashion industry designing prints for Calvin Klein. Her interest in nature-inspired imagery and interior spaces led her to pursue a more architectural application for her textile work.
In 1998, Andriana discovered the digital heat transfer process, which allowed her to realize her photographic work on sheer fabrics in large-scale sizes. She was so impressed with the potential of this technology beyond advertising, Andriana opened Sheerhabitat in 2000 to provide people interested and involved with the design industry the opportunity to incorporate artistic imagery in a functional format within home, office, retail and restaurant spaces.

Five years later, Andriana has had the pleasure to work with creative people and design firms all over the country. Her commercial projects include Bradley/Ogden Restaurant at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Verandah Restaurant at the Four Season's in Las Vegas, Great Bay Restaurant in Boston, and Beauty Bar in New York City.

Seem like a small operation for a big product?
Sheerhabitat is the result of an international research and development effort by Andriana to find just the right manufacturer for her product. After testing projects through many companies, she found the best in the industry. With a history dating back to 1947 and a staff of over 150 people, their manufacturing capabilities have been recognized throughout the world. After a four year relationship, Andriana is confident that each product is color corrected, produced, finished, and packaged with the highest of standards.
