This is a timeless tribute to the late great Sammy Davis Jr.! This guy was AMAZING, a virtual entertainment machine! Born in 1925 Sammy got his start in show business before the age of 3, performing in vaudeville. His dynamic energy made him an instant hit with audiences and he sang, tapped danced and charmed his way up to super stardom! In the late 1940’s he joined forces and became what was called the “Rat Pack”, These fellas made magic when they hit the stage together and they even appeared in a movie together called “Oceans11”. It is no secret there was a little freaky side to Sammy. He was once a member of Anton LaVey’s “Church of Satan”, and then converted to Judaism! What a wacky, kooky, nutty kind of guy, don’t ya just love him! In the 1950’s Sammy got into a tragic car accident which resulted in him losing his left eye. While Sammy was laid in the hospital he got extremely depressed over the loss of his eye. So to cheer their pal up fellow Rat Packers Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, all went to visit Sammy in the hospital. When they entered Sammys’ room they were all wearing eye-patches!!! Sammy got a huge kick out of this and this stunt started him back on the road to recovery.

Yes it is true; laughter is the best medicine. Sammy went on to flourish in his show business carrier staring in films and performing all over the World- I only wish I could have caught his nightclub act in Las Vegas!
