application guidelines

PAPERspace studio is seeking submissions for upcoming exhibitions. Works may range from architectural ideas, designed objects, installation art, video and suitable fine art. The studios goal is to represent work by individuals seeking a new venue and an opportunity to really show their ideas the way they envision them.

The studio will present up to 5 annual exhibitions, solo or group. These exhibitions are thematic and are determined by way of collaboration with architects, designers, and artists. Submissions will be considered for exhibit at PAPERspace studio or forwarded to suitable local galleries. Submissions will be accepted year round with a 1-3 month response period.

Submissions should include:

- up to 20 slides.  Each slide should be labeled with name, title, medium, size and date.  Please submit slides in a
  standard slide sheet  (11 x 9 in. for three ring binder)
- photographs, transparencies, and color xeroxes may be submitted, with a max size of 8-1/2" x 11".  Please do not 
  submit images in large packaging or on boards.  No original work should be sent.  
- resume / bio
- artist statement
- Self-addressed stamped envelope.  This must be included in  order to have work returned. PAPERspace studio
  will not be responsible for work without a self addressed stamped envelope. be sure to have the correct postage.

Submissions considered by PAPERspace studio will be followed by an in-house review, studio visits and collaboration.

PAPERspace studio directors review submitted work, personally. You will receive a written reply within 1-3 months. You may email PAPERspace studio to check on the status of your submission. Please, no calls. PAPERspace studio reserves the right to dispose of unclaimed or unsolicited materials. We will not accept responsibility for incorrect addressing or postage of slide packets.

A visit to the gallery is strongly recommended, as the PAPERspace studio is a unique space.
