Johnny Chuong Bui, born in Vietnam, came to Toronto in 1984. He received a certificate of Visual Art from CTS, participated in several arts related programs and graduated with a bachelors of Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto in 1999. While receiving his bachelor, Johnny established daa FACTORY (design art architecture FACTORY), a studio dedicated to Dadaist automatic thinking. At the studio, he develops one of a kind industrial design furniture and objects as well as numerous fine art drawings, prints, paintings and sculptures. Concurrently, Johnny is a studio assistant to artists Tony Scherman and Margaret Priest and works as Facilities /Projects Coordinator at al&d, University of Toronto. Currently, Johnny is producing unique works for PAPERspace studio, based on his automatic thinking explorations.
