OrsonEye Camera Setup Wizard

Welcome! Get ready to turn your camera into an OrsonEye! Don't be nervous- you can come back and reconfigure your OrsonEye as many times as you like until you get it just the way you like it!

Step#1 - Your Flickr account or ours?

PRO:

  • You can use an existing Flickr account or make a new one.
  • You can use a free account or a paid Pro account.
  • You can make your OrsonEye uploaded images public or private so only you can see them.
  • Your images are in your account, so you can delete them anytime you want (assuming you can log into your Flickr account).

CON:

  • If you don't already have a Flickr account, you'll have to create one which will take a couple of extra (short) steps.
  • You will have to authorize OrsonEye to use your account, which will take a couple of extra (short) steps.
  • Since your images are tied to your account, and your account is tied to you, theoretically your OrsonEye images are tied to you (or at least to the email address that you use to create your Flickr account).

PRO:

  • Super-simple. No extra steps because our Flickr account is ready to go!
  • Anonymous. Neither Flickr or OrsonEye knows (or even asks) who you are.
  • No Flickr limits since the OrsonEye account you'll be using is a fully paid-up Flickr Pro account.

CON:

  • Your images are our images. As far as Flickr is concerned, you don't exist. All your images are in our OrsonEye public account and we control them. This means, for example, that we could (theoretically) delete all your images without you even knowing it. We wouldn't do that, but we could.
  • All your images are public. This means that anyone on Flickr can see your OrsonEye images (including you). Don't use the OrsonEye public account if you plan on doing embarrassing things in front of your OrsonEye.
  • If you forget your OrsonEye password then there is no way to delete any of your past images. Ever. Really. Seriously.
